Am i typical if i am unable to totally forget people who i once liked?

To actually, may, hold some feelings for them after so long?

What i think, is that, when u like someone,
and after u liked someone, u most prolly wun forget him.
either you will still like him alil,
or totally hate him.

the latter sounds horrible and terribly wrong,
but i guess that's what some people think.

simply put:
IT just doesnt always go away,
either part of it stays,
or IT changes to hatred.

it, refers to a crush, infactuation, love?

i think i am young. i have a great life ahead.
